As a consultant, the more versatile an article of clothing is the better. I don’t have the space in my carry-on bag to have accessories for every outfit (ironically, I also don’t have the time or propensity to care either). What is most important to me is a timepiece that is versatile and simple but fits with a lot of different looks.
In the winter of 2010/2011 I said “Merry Christmas To Me” and bought myself a beautiful Burberry Check Stamped Round Dial from Nordstrom.
This has been one of the best purchases that I have made since graduating. It pairs perfectly with the full spectrum of work clothes (from suited and booted to business casual) as well as my casual wear. Don’t let the price tag get you down — as I always note with high priced department store items, wait until you get a 20-25% off coupon and then splurge.
To me, there is no question that a Burberry timepiece shows that you are on your way. The next frontier? Well… A man can dream…
