Ladies, keep the sun out of your eyes and your face cool at your next outdoor, summer wedding with a floppy hat. Now, a floppy hat is a tricky accessory to pull off at a wedding because you don’t want to be obnoxious and distract attention from the bride. Well, I’m here to make sure you don’t do that. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions below, then your hat is ridiculous and you may not wear it to a wedding.
1. COLOR Is your hat bright enough to make you squint? Stick to neutral tones.
2. SIZE Is the diameter of your hat so wide that you bump into things? You’re doing too much.
3. FORM Does the brim of you hat go past your eyes? You look sketchy.
4. EMBELLISHMENT Do you have anything on your hat that belongs in nature i.e. flowers, feathers, or birds? Unless you’re Princess Kate or the Mother of the Bride, this is not acceptable for a wedding.
