So far I’ve only attended 3 Summer season weddings, but all of them are seared into my head. Why? Well all of them either had the ceremony or portions of the reception outside. There are the obvious benefits of bringing friends and family together to celebrate matrimony in the beauty of the outdoors. And as great as it is to enjoy these wonderful occasions under the rays, it’s less enjoyable to sweat your way through your suit and tie.
If you find yourself at a more casual Summer wedding in the near future and don’t want to break your bank on a full linen get-up, consider investing in a pair of chino pants from Uniqlo or J Crew. These Chinos put a checkmark in the “dressy enough” AND the “won’t need my speedstick” box. Pair them with some stylish oxfords or loafers, a simple sports coat, and a colorful tie. Don’t sweat your style, and definitely don’t sweat yourself.
