Guide to ‘Gearing’ Up for Winter: Texting Gloves

I’m not sure if it’s a sign of getting older, but if I leave the house without a pair of gloves on during the winter, not only do I hear my mother’s voice in my head lecturing me, but I also notice that my hands can’t tough it out like they used to — not to mention the dryness that ensues afterwards. There was definitely a time not so long ago that gloves were not an essential part of my winter wardrobe (who could keep track of gloves in college?), but those days are over.

If you’re not attached to your iPhone, then maybe you’re good to go with a run of the mill pair of gloves, but I’m guessing you don’t want to have to take off your gloves every time you want to check your phone or switch songs on your 15 minute walk to the subway. I don’t think I would have made it through last winter without a pair of “smart touch” texting gloves. The good news is that this year, they’ve gotten the technology to a point that they look like normal gloves. I’m really into this knit pair, a nice update on the simple black glove. Grab a pair and you won’t lose any communication time during your commute.
